An oxygen partial pressure of 10-30atm means that only one oxygen molecule exists in 1030gas molecules.
This is equivalent to only a single oxygen molecule existing in a cubic space measuring 33m on a side.
Absorption-type gas purifiers are commonly used for removing oxygen. However, they only can remove oxygen to the 1ppb (10-9atm) level.
However, our ultralow oxygen pump technology uses a solid electrolyte of zirconium oxide (zirconia). After purification, our system can reduce oxygen partial pressure lower than 10-30atm, resulting in a higher level of deoxidization than conventional methods.
Our ULOCE-500 product is an unparalleled ultralow oxygen partial pressure control device. The ULOCE-500 can remove oxygen from inert gas (such as nitrogen, argon or helium) to an ultra-low level. The oxygen partial pressure of purified gas is lower than 10-30 atm. This extremely reduced oxygen partial pressure enables the deoxidization of gases that are originally inert.
